. . . . And they lived happily ever after . . . . OR NOT

Have you ever finished a book only to toss it aside, grumbling under your breath that the book could have been so much better if they ended it happily? What if Rhett Butler had turned around an swooped Scarlet O'Hara in his arms?

It is my humble opinion that a book has to stay true to its soul. If things haven't been working out for the characters all along, the ending is not where to PRETTY it all up and send the reader away say . . . "NO WAY!".

However, we also don't want to get to the end of the book, and the author has not answered all my questions. . . . . . . That makes us crazy!!!!!

We worked extremely hard on making the ending of "The Contest' true, honest and believable, but we're open to your thoughts!!!!
